Taiwan Premier League: Supporting a Local Professional Football Team

Sphere Tokyo Law Firm (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Attorney: Koichi Kobori; hereinafter referred to as “our firm”) has entered into a sponsorship partnership with the professional football club “Taichung FUTURO” (Nickname: FUTURO; Home City: Taichung, Taiwan; Representative: Yuki Komori; hereinafter “FUTURO”), which competes in the Taiwan Football Premier League. This partnership was formalized on June 19, 2025. Our firm will support FUTURO alongside Sphere Taipei Law Office (Head Office: Taipei, Taiwan; Representative Attorney: Nien-Hui Chou).

About FUTURO

Taichung FUTURO is a professional football club based in Taichung, Taiwan, founded in 2015.
The name “FUTURO,” meaning “future” in Spanish, was chosen by the team’s owner and representative, Yuki Komori, to express his aspirations for the future of Taiwanese football.

The club fields a top-tier team that competes in the Taiwan Football Premier League—the highest level of football in Taiwan—and also operates a youth academy with around 150 players aged between 6 and 18.

Dedicated to building the future of football in Taiwan, FUTURO provides consistent and systematic training with the goal of developing players who can shine in Japan’s J.League and on international stages. The club is also deeply engaged with the local community, working to become a regionally rooted team representing Taichung City.

Sponsorship Background

Our firm was deeply moved by the philosophy and life approach of FUTURO’s owner and representative, Yuki Komori. As a result, we decided to become a sponsor and partner of the team.

FUTURO is home to several Japanese players and is known for its deep ties to the local Taichung community, including actively organizing events for children. While baseball remains the most popular sport in Taiwan, interest in football has been growing steadily in recent years.

We hope that FUTURO, a team whose name symbolizes the “future,” will continue to inspire and light the way for the future of football in Taiwan. Our firm is honored to provide our humble support in that journey.
